After the South Asia Ethics Education workshop held in Coimbatore in 2006, Karthikeyan initiated a project for the promotion and protection of children rights in schools. He has visited many schools and spoken to hundreds of children about the importance of learning about their rights and how they can help fostering a culture of respect for the dignity of other children in India.

Massa - Massar (The Journey - The path)

GNRC members in Israel arranged an interfaith learning and peace building program for Jewish, Christian and Muslim youth in Israel in July 2007. The Toolkit for Ethics Education through Interfaith Learning was used to design the program. The full report of the week long program gives an account of the planning process and the implementation of the program without discarding difficulties and lessons learned in arranging the programs. The Report brings us along on the Journey and it is an example of a Best Practice in using the Toolkit. GNRC Africa Zanzibar Peace Camp, 2006

The Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC Africa) participated in the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) 2006 in July under the Children’s Panorama by holding its 2^nd Peace Camp. The theme of this year’s Peace Camp was ‘Media, Ethics and Globalisation’ and the theme of the ZIFF was ‘Sails of History - Citizens of the Sea’. The report gives ideas on how to address globalisation processes, ethics around globalisation and media and the young peoples role as Peace Ambassadors in the Global Village.

Youth working with the Ethics Education Toolkit

The Draft Toolkit on Interfaith Learning and Ethics Education was used at a workshop arranged in Geneva in January 2006. Two youth members of the Interfaith Council explored the possibilities of using the toolkit in various youth settings in their regions. The Report from the workshop gives ideas for others who would like to make use of the material. A special thanks to Nour and Emanuel for sharing their experiences and encouraging others to make use of the toolkit in working with ethics and values.
