After the South Asia Ethics Education workshop held in Coimbatore in 2006, Karthikeyan initiated a project for the promotion and protection of children rights in schools.  He has visited many schools and spoken to hundreds of children about the importance of learning about their rights and how they can help fostering a culture of respect for the dignity of other children in India.

GNRC members in Israel arranged an interfaith learning and peace building program for Jewish, Christian and Muslim youth in Israel in July 2007. The Toolkit for Ethics Education through Interfaith Learning was used to design the program.  The full report of the week long program gives an account of the planning process and the implementation of the program without discarding difficulties and lessons learned in arranging the programs. A European workshop for the development of GNRC Youth Groups was held from 26 to 29 November 2009 in Geneva, Switzerland to help strengthen the youth participation and involvement in the region. The four-day workshop trained the youth leaders on the development, facilitation and follow up of interfaith youth activities using the Learning to Live Together manual.  Among the participants were youth leaders from Belgium, Denmark, Palestine, Portugal, Romania, Samoa and Spain.  Read more...


A training workshop to introduce the Learning to Live Together manual was held in Bucharest, Romania from 8 to 11 November 2009.  The workshop aimed to introduce the manual to teachers, social workers, theologians and child protection authority representatives.  26 participants hailing from different parts of Romania, Sweden and Switzerland became acquainted with the manual and willing to introduce it in different educational settings in their countries.  Read more...
