a) To explore the possibilities for contributions by the GNRC to global issues related to the problems children face, as seen from a global perspective, by gathering information from and engaging in dialogue with international organizations such as UNICEF, UNESCO, WHO, and UNHCR, as well as religious organizations engaging in global activities, and other relevant individuals and organizations.back to top
b) To assist the GNRC Secretariat and the GNRC General Secretary in administration and promotion of regional GNRC activities, especially in the regions of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, as well as Central Asia and the Caucasus, working in close contact with the GNRC regional coordinators.
c) To contact and coordinate with international agencies (e.g, UNICEF and UNHCR) and NGOs (e.g., DCI, Save the Children) regarding the assistance grants of the Arigatou Foundation.
a) To collect information on global issues and engage in consultations with UN, UN agencies and NGOs and, following instructions of Arigatou Foundation headquarters in Tokyo, represent the Myochikai (Arigatou Foundation) as an international faith-based NGO in special consultative status with the ECOSOC of the United Nations.back to top
b) To represent the Arigatou Foundation in the convening of the NGO Subgroup on Education, Literacy and Media and in the Coordination Committee of the NGO Group for the implementation of the CRC
a) To assist in the promotion of interfaith ethics education for children, including administration and support for the Interfaith Council, its subcommittees and task forces
b) To budget, plan and implement the annual meetings of the Interfaith Council
c) To coordinate budget requests and recommended activities with convenors of subcommittees and taskforces and submit coordinated budget requests based on recommended activities to the Arigatou Foundation headquarters.
d) To establish and maintain a structured database and documentation centre of resources for the Interfaith Council and the GNRC regarding contacts, publications, resource materials, experiences, resource persons and best practices.
e) To establish and maintain a web page for the Interfaith Council on Ethics Education for Children.
f) To participate in the coordination of the UNICEF – GNRC study and integrate the outcome in the activities of the Interfaith Council
g) To make efforts to realize contributions from the Arigatou Foundation, GNRC and the Interfaith Council to the Global Movement for Children.
