The Arigatou International ethics education programme is an initiative to promote value-based and quality education for children and young people within the framework of the child’s right to education, as stated in the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child.
Arigatou International cooperates with United Nations agencies and NGOs, as well as provides resources and support to the work done by the Global Network of Religions for Children, GNRC, in different parts of the world.
GNRC members and others are organising projects and training courses related to ethics education in their countries. Various initiatives and actions have been recently taken at regional, national and local levels in order to respond to the ethical challenges that children face. Not only adults but also children and youth are important actors in moving ahead with these initiatives in each region. Here is a brief overview of GNRC ethics education activities in six world regions over the last year.
